Privacy Policy

Effective Date: June 29, 2026

1. Introduction

KLF Lexis is an AI-powered Bible study platform developed and operated by KLF Ministries & Publications. We understand that your study of Scripture is personal, and that the notes, reflections, and questions you bring to the platform deserve to be handled with care. Protecting your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to being clear and honest about how your information is treated.

This Privacy Policy explains what information KLF Lexis collects, how that information is used, the third-party services we rely on to operate the platform, and the choices and rights available to you. By creating an account or using KLF Lexis, you agree to the practices described in this policy. We encourage you to read it carefully so that you understand how your information is handled.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information that allows us to create your account, provide our Bible study features, and improve the platform over time. The categories of information we collect, or may reasonably collect, include the following.

Account and profile information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and the credentials used to access your account. You may also choose to provide additional profile details, such as a display name or preferences that personalize your experience.

Subscription information. If you subscribe to a Premium plan, we collect information related to your subscription status, plan type, and billing history. As described below, full payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored by KLF Lexis.

Study content. A central purpose of KLF Lexis is to help you study Scripture, so we store the content you create within the platform. This includes your Bible study notes, highlights, bookmarks, and other saved study content. Where you use AI-assisted features, we may also retain your AI conversation history so that your sessions remain available and useful to you over time.

Usage information. To understand how the platform is used and to improve it, we collect usage statistics and feature usage data, such as which features you access and how often. We also process authentication data necessary to keep your account secure and to maintain your signed-in sessions.

Technical information. Like most online services, KLF Lexis uses cookies and browser local storage, and may collect basic browser and device information, such as device type and browser version, when this information is made available to us. This information supports authentication, security, and performance.

Uploaded documents and library content. The Library lets you upload documents. We store the files you upload and the metadata associated with them, such as the title, author, file name, file type, size, folder, and any publication details you provide. To make your documents useful, we process and index their text so they can be searched, and where you use AI-assisted features, uploaded content may be processed by our AI providers to generate responses, summaries, and citations. Documents you keep private remain accessible only to you. If you choose to share a document with the Community Library, it becomes visible and searchable to other KLF Lexis users; documents curated into the Official KLF Library are published for all users. You control the privacy setting of each document, and you can change it or delete the document at any time. Uploaded documents and their indexed text are retained until you delete them or your account, subject to the limited retention described in Section 9 (Data Retention), and content may be removed through moderation as described in our Terms of Service.

We do not seek to collect more information than is reasonably necessary to operate KLF Lexis and provide the features you expect.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to operate KLF Lexis reliably and to provide a meaningful study experience. Specifically, your information is used to create and manage your account, authenticate you, and keep you securely signed in. It allows us to provide our Bible study features, save your notes and study progress, and synchronize your data across the devices you use, so that your work follows you wherever you study.

For subscribers, your information is used to process subscriptions and maintain accurate records of your plan and access. When you reach out to us, we use your information to respond to customer support requests and resolve issues.

We also use information to improve the platform and to improve the quality and helpfulness of our AI functionality. In addition, certain information is used to enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, and protect the security and integrity of the platform and its users. Finally, we may use information as necessary to comply with legal obligations that apply to us.

4. AI Services

KLF Lexis uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, explanations, and study assistance. To make these features possible, the prompts and related content you submit to AI features may be processed by trusted AI providers solely for the purpose of generating a response for you. These providers process your content on our behalf and do not receive ownership of your content as a result of processing it.

Artificial intelligence is a powerful study aid, but it is not infallible. AI-generated responses may occasionally contain inaccuracies, omissions, or interpretations that do not reflect sound doctrine. KLF Lexis is intended to support your study, not to replace it. We strongly encourage you to verify important theological conclusions through careful, prayerful Bible study and, where appropriate, through trusted teachers and established resources. You remain responsible for evaluating and applying any guidance generated by the platform.

5. Subscription Payments

KLF Lexis offers Premium subscriptions that unlock additional features. Subscription payments are securely processed through PayPal, our third-party payment provider.

When you make a payment, your billing information is collected and managed directly by the payment provider in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices. KLF Lexis does not store complete payment card information on its systems. We receive only the limited subscription and billing-status information necessary to manage your account and confirm your access to Premium features.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

KLF Lexis relies on a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate the platform. We do not sell your personal information. We share information with these providers only to the extent necessary for them to perform their functions in support of KLF Lexis.

Supabase provides our authentication, database, and storage infrastructure. The information you create and the records associated with your account are stored and managed using these services.

OpenAI provides the artificial intelligence models used to generate responses within our AI features. As described above, prompts and related content may be processed by this provider solely to produce a response.

PayPal processes subscription payments and manages billing information, as described above.

Vercel provides the hosting and delivery infrastructure that makes KLF Lexis available to you over the internet.

Each of these providers operates under its own terms of service and privacy practices. They help us deliver a secure, reliable, and capable platform, and we engage them solely to operate and improve KLF Lexis.

7. Cookies and Local Storage

KLF Lexis uses cookies and browser local storage to make the platform function properly and to remember your preferences. These technologies are used to keep you authenticated and signed in, to remember your language preferences, user settings, and study preferences, and to support the security and performance of the service.

Most web browsers allow you to manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling certain cookies or local storage may affect your ability to sign in or to use some features of the platform as intended.

8. Data Security

We take the security of your information seriously and use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information in our care against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. We also rely on established service providers, described above, whose infrastructure is built with security in mind.

At the same time, you should understand that no method of transmitting information over the internet and no method of electronic storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. You also play an important role in protecting your account by keeping your login credentials confidential and notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization.

9. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy. This includes the time needed to operate the platform and provide your account and study content, to meet applicable legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements.

When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete it or to remove the details that identify you. If you delete your account, we will remove or de-identify your associated information in accordance with this policy, subject to any limited retention required for legitimate operational or legal reasons.

10. Your Rights

We believe you should have meaningful control over your information. Depending on your circumstances and applicable law, you may access the information associated with your account, correct information that is inaccurate, and update your profile details directly within the platform. You may also delete your account, and you may request deletion of your personal information where applicable.

If you have questions about your information or wish to make a request regarding your privacy, you may contact us using the details below. We will respond to reasonable requests in accordance with applicable law. Because privacy rights vary from country to country, the specific rights available to you may depend on the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, and some rights may not apply in every location.

11. Children's Privacy

KLF Lexis is intended for general audiences and is not directed to young children. The platform is not intended for use by children under the minimum age required in their jurisdiction without the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the applicable minimum age without appropriate parental or guardian involvement.

If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child in a manner inconsistent with this policy, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information promptly. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child has provided information to KLF Lexis without your consent, please contact us so that we can address the matter.

12. International Users

KLF Lexis is operated from Jamaica. The trusted service providers we rely on to operate the platform may store and process information in Jamaica and in other countries where they maintain infrastructure.

If you access KLF Lexis from outside Jamaica, you understand and agree that your information may be transferred to, processed in, and stored in Jamaica or in other countries where we or our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your own country. By using KLF Lexis, you consent to the processing of your information as described in this policy.

13. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our features, our service providers, or applicable legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will revise the Effective Date shown at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, take additional steps to notify you.

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically so that you stay informed about how we handle your information. Your continued use of KLF Lexis after an update takes effect indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.

14. Contact Information

If you have questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal information, you may contact us. We welcome your questions and will do our best to address them.

Legal Notice

This Privacy Policy is intended to accurately describe how KLF Lexis handles personal information based on its current features and services. As KLF Lexis continues to grow, this policy should be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes in functionality, third-party services, or applicable laws.

Because KLF Lexis is a commercial software platform operated from Jamaica and may serve users in multiple countries, it is recommended that this Privacy Policy and the accompanying Terms of Service be reviewed by a qualified attorney familiar with Jamaican law and any other applicable privacy regulations before public launch. This helps ensure that the policies accurately reflect the service and comply with applicable legal requirements.
