Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 29, 2026

Welcome to KLF Lexis, an AI-powered Bible study platform developed and operated by KLF Ministries & Publications. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of KLF Lexis, including our website, applications, study tools, and related features (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully. They explain your rights and responsibilities, the way our subscriptions work, and the limits of what we can promise. These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or otherwise using KLF Lexis, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service. If you are using KLF Lexis on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use KLF Lexis. If you are between 13 and the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian. By using KLF Lexis, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide about yourself is accurate.

3. User Accounts

To access most features of KLF Lexis, you will need to create an account. You are responsible for providing accurate registration information and for keeping it up to date. You are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your authorization. You may delete your account at any time, as described in Section 12 and in our Privacy Policy. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account where that use resulted from your failure to safeguard your credentials.

4. Free and Premium Services

KLF Lexis offers both free accounts and paid subscription plans. Free accounts provide access to a core set of Bible study features, which may be subject to usage limits. Paid subscription plans (referred to as "Premium" or paid plans) unlock additional features, higher or unlimited usage allowances, and other enhancements as described at the time of purchase.

The specific features and limits associated with free and paid plans may change as the Service evolves. We reserve the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue plans and to change pricing. Where we make material changes to the pricing of an existing subscription, we will provide reasonable advance notice through the Service or by email, and such changes will take effect on a going-forward basis.

5. Subscription Payments

Subscription payments for paid plans are securely processed through PayPal, our third-party payment provider. When you subscribe, your payment and billing details are collected and managed directly by PayPal in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices. KLF Lexis does not store complete payment card information on its systems; we receive only the limited subscription and payment-status information necessary to manage your account.

Billing and renewals. Paid plans are offered on a recurring basis, billed either monthly or annually depending on the plan you select. Unless you cancel, your subscription will automatically renew at the end of each billing period, and PayPal will charge the applicable amount using your chosen payment method. By subscribing, you authorize these recurring charges until you cancel.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through PayPal or through the account tools provided in the Service. When you cancel, your subscription will not renew for the next billing period, and you will generally retain access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not by itself trigger a refund of amounts already paid.

Refunds. We do not offer a blanket or automatic refund guarantee. Where a refund is appropriate — for example, in the case of a billing error or as required by applicable law — it may be issued through PayPal. If you believe you have been charged in error or wish to request a refund, please contact us using the details in Section 18, and we will review your request in good faith. Nothing in this section limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use KLF Lexis lawfully and respectfully. You may not use the Service to engage in or facilitate any of the following:

  • Illegal activity, or any activity that violates the rights of others;
  • Abuse, harassment, threats, or hateful conduct toward any person;
  • Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Service, to other users' accounts, or to the systems and networks that support KLF Lexis;
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or otherwise attempting to derive the source code or underlying structure of the Service, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • Scraping, harvesting, or systematically extracting data from the Service through automated means without our permission;
  • Automated abuse, including the use of bots or scripts to overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service;
  • Circumventing, disabling, or attempting to bypass usage limits, access controls, or subscription restrictions;
  • Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.

We may investigate suspected violations and take appropriate action, including the measures described in Section 12.

7. AI Services

KLF Lexis uses artificial intelligence to generate responses, explanations, and study assistance. These responses are produced automatically by AI systems based on the prompts and content you provide. Our Privacy Policy explains how this content is processed by our AI provider.

Artificial intelligence is a helpful study aid, but it is not infallible. AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, omissions, or interpretations that do not reflect sound doctrine, and they should not be treated as authoritative or error-free. The AI features of KLF Lexis are provided for Bible study and educational purposes only. You should verify important doctrinal and theological conclusions through careful, prayerful study of Scripture and, where appropriate, through trusted teachers and established resources. You remain responsible for evaluating and applying any guidance generated by the Service.

8. Bible Study Disclaimer

KLF Lexis is designed to assist and enrich your study of the Bible through tools such as AI-powered study, original-language and interlinear study, lexicons, exegesis tools, and practice features. It is intended to be a companion to your study, not a substitute for it.

The Service does not replace personal Bible study, prayer, or pastoral and spiritual guidance, and it is not a source of legal, medical, financial, or professional counselling advice. Nothing provided through KLF Lexis should be relied upon as a substitute for the advice of a qualified professional in any of these fields. If you require such advice, please consult an appropriately qualified person.

9. Intellectual Property

KLF Lexis, including its software, design, user interface, branding, logos, name, and original content, is owned by KLF Ministries & Publications or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by applicable law, you may not copy, distribute, modify, publicly display, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission.

Certain biblical texts and linguistic data made available through KLF Lexis are used under open licenses, including the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0) and Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 (CC BY-SA 3.0) licenses. Full attribution details for these materials are available at /attributions. You agree to respect the intellectual property rights of KLF Lexis and of any third parties whose materials are made available through the Service.

10. User-Generated Content and Uploaded Materials

You retain ownership of the content you create within KLF Lexis, including your Bible study notes, highlights, bookmarks, saved studies, and similar materials, as well as any documents or files you upload to the Library (collectively, "User Content"). We do not claim ownership of your User Content.

Uploaded content and license. The Library lets you upload documents and, at your choice, share them with other users. When you upload content, you grant KLF Lexis a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, index, and display that content according to your selected privacy settings — for example, keeping a private document available only to you, or making a document you choose to share searchable and viewable by other users. This license exists only to operate the Service and ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except for content that remains in routine backups for a limited period or that we are required to retain by law. Before your first upload, you must accept the Content Upload Agreement presented in the Service.

Your responsibilities. You are solely responsible for the content you upload. You represent and warrant that you own the content or have the legal right, permission, or license to upload and share it, and that your upload does not knowingly infringe any copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights. You must not upload copyrighted books or materials without authorization.

Copyright. KLF Lexis respects intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, you may report it as described in our Copyright Policy & Content Removal page or by using the reporting tools within the Service.

Platform rights. KLF Lexis reserves the right, but assumes no obligation, to review, moderate, hide, or remove content that violates these Terms, the Content Upload Agreement, or applicable law, and to determine how shared content is displayed and made searchable within the Service.

Content removal. We may remove or restrict access to uploaded content that is the subject of a valid complaint, that we reasonably believe is infringing or unlawful, or that otherwise violates these Terms. Where practical and appropriate, affected users may be notified.

Termination of upload privileges. We may suspend or terminate your ability to upload or share content, and repeat infringers may lose upload privileges, in addition to any other remedies available under these Terms, including account suspension or termination under Section 12.

11. Service Availability

We work to keep KLF Lexis available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available. From time to time, the Service or specific features may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, technical issues, or factors outside our control.

The Service is offered on an evolving basis. We may add, change, or remove features over time, and we may modify how the Service works in order to improve it, address technical or security needs, or reflect changes in the resources and providers we rely on.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to KLF Lexis, in whole or in part, if you violate these Terms, if your use of the Service poses a risk to the platform or to other users, if required to do so by law, or to protect the integrity and security of the Service. Where reasonable and appropriate, we will aim to provide notice, though we may act immediately in cases involving serious violations, security concerns, or legal requirements.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to access the Service will end, and we will handle your information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

KLF Lexis is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we make no warranties or representations of any kind, whether express or implied, regarding the Service, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, and including any warranty that the Service will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors.

You use KLF Lexis at your own discretion and risk. This disclaimer does not exclude or limit any warranty or right that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KLF Ministries & Publications and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid to KLF Lexis for the Service during the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or, if you have not paid anything, will be limited to the resupply of the Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KLF Ministries & Publications and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or connected with your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any applicable law, or your infringement of the rights of any third party. We may, at our option, assume the exclusive defense of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you agree to cooperate with us.

16. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our features, our service providers, or applicable legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will revise the Effective Date shown at the top of these Terms and, where appropriate, take additional steps to notify you.

Your continued use of KLF Lexis after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service and may delete your account. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Where mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence provide you with additional rights, nothing in these Terms is intended to override those rights.

18. Contact Information

If you have questions about these Terms or about the Service, you may contact us. We welcome your questions and will do our best to address them.

19. Legal Notice

These Terms of Service are intended to accurately describe the relationship between KLF Lexis and its users based on the platform's current features and services. As KLF Lexis continues to grow, these Terms should be reviewed and updated periodically to reflect changes in functionality, third-party services, or applicable laws.

Because KLF Lexis is a commercial software platform operated from Jamaica and may serve users in multiple countries, it is recommended that these Terms of Service and the accompanying Privacy Policy be reviewed by a qualified attorney familiar with Jamaican law and any other applicable regulations before public launch. This helps ensure that the policies accurately reflect the service and comply with applicable legal requirements.
