This is an ecclesiastical Greek Old Testament as used in the Orthodox tradition. The distributor does not identify an underlying critical edition (Rahlfs, Swete, or Göttingen), so it should be cited as the Orthodox Media Network text rather than as any named scholarly edition.

Daniel (Theodotion)

Greek Daniel survives in two distinct traditions: the Old Greek, and the version attributed to Theodotion, which displaced it in the manuscript tradition and which the New Testament generally follows. The text held here is Theodotion, identified from its incipits, and it is stored separately from the main Septuagint text so that the tradition is always visible rather than implied.

Old Greek Daniel is not currently held. Daniel coverage is therefore incomplete, and no Old Greek reading should be inferred from what is shown.

Coverage and known gaps

Greek Esther is not held. The Greek text of Esther contains the six Additions, which have no Hebrew counterpart and require Addition-aware versification; it is omitted rather than presented under Hebrew verse numbers.

A small number of Septuagint subverses — material with no Masoretic counterpart, numbered in the Greek tradition as 1 Kings 5:14α, 6:1α–δ, 8:53α and similar — are also not held, because verse storage does not yet carry a subverse component. They are recorded as absent rather than merged into the preceding verse.
